It is with great sadness that I leave my laptop in NH as I travel to Florida.  I'm only half kidding.  It's so hard for me to resist the lure of technology!  And quite honestly, I love blogging, writing for Tall Clothing Mall, and working on creative projects (of which I have a couple brewing) so that would be a fun part of vacation for me.

I promised here that I would start sharing glimpses of Genevieve's toddler room.  Mainly because it's taking forever and I think it's one of the those re-dos that won't be completely finished until we move! So I bring you, her bed:

I would have loved to title this weekend getaway but one night in Portland, Maine was all we could manage. Even the crazy Nor'easter couldn't thwart us (why do I feel weird calling it Nemo?)! Husband and I actually made it an entire night away!  Thank the Lord.  We needed it.  I can totally see how people stay married for 30 years, then have nothing left to talk about when the kids are gone.  We've been married eight years (but everyone knows BK years barely count.  What did we do with all that time?!), three years post kids.  At this point we have plenty to talk about, have fun together, and enjoy quality time spent together.

Semi-Homemade Valentine's Photo Cards.

I love it when I come across craft-y type things in the dollar section of Target.  I can buy something inexpensive and "easy," do it with the girls, and feel like supermom.  In my world "arts and crafts time = supermom."  That's what happened this year.  I found cute cards and stickers and thought making Valentine's Day cards would be the perfect project to do with the girls.  By the way, calling anything a "project" instantly makes it special in Genevieve's eyes.

$6 Valentine's Day Wreath Tutorial.

It doesn't get much easier or cheaper than this wreath folks!  I'm attempting to make one craft per month/holiday, and this month I wanted to do another wreath (you can see my Christmas wreath here).  I scoured my DIY and Holidays Pinterest boards and came across this one and a few other Valentine themed wreaths.  When I priced them out though this one won hands down! Not to mention I just love felt lately and love the look of this charming wreath.
